Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr. Mena is a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in perinatal, child and adolescent mental health. With over a decade of international experience across the UAE, Australia, and Qatar, she is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence – based care to individuals and families navigating mental health challenges.
Dr. Shehata holds a Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK) and the Arab Board of Medical Specialization in Psychiatry. She has worked in leading mental health institutions, including the American Center for Psychiatry and Neurology in Abu Dhabi and prestigious hospitals in Australia, where she gained expertise in early psychosis intervention, perinatal mental health and trauma-focused therapy.
Passionate about holistic and multidisciplinary approaches, Dr. Shehata integrates Dialectal Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Parent – Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) into her treatment plans. Her research contributions in psychosis, ADHD and perinatal mental health reflect her commitment to advancing psychiatric care.
Fluent in English and Arabic, Dr. Mena ensures culturally sensitive and tailored support for diverse populations.
