Dr. Osama Ali is a triple American board-certified psychiatrist providing comprehensive psychiatric care across inpatient, outpatient, and community-based settings. He specializes in the evaluation and treatment of anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and other psychiatric concerns through an evidence-based, patient-centred approach tailored to each individual’s unique needs. Dr. Ali works collaboratively with his patients to develop personalized treatment plans that support long-term mental wellness and improved quality of life.
Education & Advanced Training
Dr. Osama Ali holds board certifications in Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), as well as lifetime board certification in Addiction Medicine through the American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM).
He completed his residency training in Psychiatry at the University of Kentucky, followed by a fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati, and advanced psychodynamic training through the Cincinnati Psychodynamic Institute. His training provided a strong foundation in treating anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related disorders, substance use disorders, and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Leadership & Clinical Experience
Dr. Osama is a former founder and medical director of a multidisciplinary mental health clinic in Kentucky, where he led a patient-centred team delivering integrated care. The clinic focused on treating anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, PTSD, and co-occurring mental health conditions, achieving strong clinical outcomes and sustained growth over six years.
He has also served as an attending psychiatrist at several respected healthcare institutions in the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
Academic Appointments & Professional Affiliations
Dr. Osama served as a Clinical Professor at the University of Pikeville’s Osteopathic Medicine program and as a clinical preceptor for Physician Assistant students affiliated with the University of Kentucky.
He is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and has presented nationally and internationally on topics related to mental health and psychiatric care.
